Today’s act
encourages us to make some extra lunch to share with someone else, to try and
build friendships over lunch. I packed
the leftover lasagne from yesterday’s dinner into a container for hubby
(normally he ends up sorting out his own lunch) but also invited some other
mums and children from Hub Café over for the morning to share tea and homemade
cake. It was lovely to be able to sit
out in the sunshine together and enjoy a nice chat over a cup of tea whilst the
children enjoyed running around the garden and playing with the toys.

Act 35 - Gospel
Today’s act encourages us to share the gospel with someone
we meet or are friends with. Having had
a quiet day at home with the girls today made it quite difficult to share the gospel
with someone I encountered so I have had to opt for sharing it online
instead. I have written a blog post
about my ten favourite books, the top one being the Bible which has been a source
of strength, comfort, hope and encouragement through the knowledge that God is
always in control and I have shared some of my favourite verses which have
helped me.

Act 30 - Meet a need
I’m a day late with Act 30 which focuses on meeting a need locally, for example donating to the local food bank. We have a collection point for our local food bank in our church and as I was in town and doing some shopping today, I made sure I picked up a few extra things especially for the food bank. I notice that our local food bank also has an online shopping list which shows which things are particularly low in stock which is useful for future reference – will try and remember this when I next do my shopping.

Act 10 - Talent show
Today's act encourages us to look again at our 'toolkits'; to share our talents and offer to teach one of them to others. I posted a list on Facebook this morning, offering to teach making basic icing figures, card stitching, iris folding or rag-rugging, skills that I thought I might be able to teach and manage to find a time slot in which I could do so. So far I haven't had any responses though and from looking on twitter today I suspect I'm not alone in this. Maybe someone will take me up on the offer another time.
