Act 3 - Tool up

Today’s act encourages us to think about our skills and experiences and how we can use who we are to bless others.  My tool-kit includes my experiences of being a heart mummy, creative skills, time management, computer skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude (plus many other little things that I keep remembering and adding to the list) and with the tools of free time and creativity, I helped my toddler make a birthday card for Nanny.  My toddler and I were both blessed by having some quality mother-daughter time and Nanny will be blessed with the gift of her granddaughter’s artwork.

Act 1 - Create a journal

Gratitude and blessing is the theme of today’s act – a journal documenting things to be thankful for and a wish list of blessings for others during Lent.  Here’s a few extracts from my ‘gratitude and blessing’ journal.

Something I am thankful for:  my beautiful daughters and my husband (particularly as he took over the morning routine so I could catch up on much-needed sleep!)

Wish-list of blessings: strength and continued recovery for some little heart warriors and the gift of a new heart for Theo, comfort for the family and parents of a baby who gained his angel wings yesterday.
