Today’s act encourages us to find a friend, neighbour or
co-worker and make them a hot drink and so I invited my mother-in-law over for
a cup of tea. Over tea and cake, we got
together to start organising a forthcoming concert at church and start putting
together the programme and the rehearsal schedule. Plus the girls enjoyed getting to spend time
with Grandma and as she stayed right up to bedtime, I had an extra pair of
hands to help me get the girls into their bedtime clothes. It was also nice to sit and have a chat
together.

Act 17 - Ps & Qs
Today’s act encourages us to be courteous. I’d like to think that I’m courteous
generally but a little extra reminder never does any harm. It did make me more conscious about being
polite – I was definitely more considerate of others on my drive down to visit
my mum. I did make sure that I did the
washing-up after having dinner at my mum’s too – she’s usually so quick to do
it that often by the time it’s dawned on me to offer, it’s already been
done. Today I made sure that she got to have
cuddles with her granddaughters instead!

Act 6 - Reach
Today’s act encourages to think of our sphere of influence and
to share a positive message of love, generosity or kindness with them. For me, probably my biggest sphere of
influence is with my family and I wanted to let them know how important they
are to me and how much having the love of a close family means to me. I shared a photo of my little girls
demonstrating sisterly love with a quote by Eva Burrows: “In family life, love
is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together and the
music that brings harmony.”
